Playing in zigzag

These gardens are located just in front the Palacio Nacional de la Cultura in zona 1, today you could find several children playing on them.

Did you know that today it would be impossible to build the Palacio Nacional with the money that was made at the time? two and a half million quetzales.

Another important factor was that the labor force that was used in that time was public employees and prisoners. The best known artists of the country were responsible for decorating with accessories such as balconies, floors, ceilings and many other details that you can find today.

The main photo is a representation slightly ironic but true, is a representation of our reality. Today is possible to play in front the Palacio, in another era, the military prisons that were in the building was not a matter of game, believe me.

You knew that the virtues of the man and of good government are represented in the presidential balcony?
