Details in National Palace of Culture

Sunday, July 10th, 2011

There’sa lot to see outside Palacio Nacional.  The main photo shows decorations that were worked by Carlos Rigalt Anguiano and Rodolfo Galeotti Torres who was born in Quetzaltenango.

The National Palace was designed by the engineers Rafael Pérez de León, Enrique Riera and Luis Ángel Rodas following the instructions of then President Jorge Ubico.  The inspiration was based on building the palace of the Count of Monterrey, Salamanca, Spain, built in the sixteenth century.
