Tamales?

Tamales?
According to El Periodico, during the Colonial Period, lanterns would be covered with ram’s skin painted red, to announce or signal that Tamales were for sale there. Now it is represented by a red plastic ball or cellophane. Today Thursday, I had forgotten, today is not Tamales day. Today are Paches, which is basically a Tamale, made out of potatoes instead of corn. Next time you see a Red Snow Ban light, remember those warm Tamales.
