Salvadorean Empanadas

You’ve probably heard about Pupusas, a very popular ‘Salvadorean’ style food,

a thick tortilla stuffed with your choice of meat, chicken, pork or cheese, slow cooked on a comal. Well, an Empanada is basically the same, the only change is in the shape.
Thus far, the best I’ve tried are these ones at “El Peaje”, a crossroad stop on the way to Petén.
