Food: bocado de reina

bocado de reina
Bocado de reina is one of my favorite Guatemalan pastires.

It is available at most Guatemalan bakeries as it is inexpensive and it has to do with the recipe. Guatemalans got to have freshly baked bread, so, what to do with all that unsold bread at the bakeries? Well, the answer is bocado de reina, it is made out of the old bread, milk, butter, bananas and some other minor ingredients and then rebaked.
