Parque Ecológico Jacarandas de Cayalá

Parque Ecológico Jacarandas de Cayalá is one of the few remaining accessible patches of forest surrounding Guatemala City.

It is a privately own small forest, with some infrastructure for outdoor activities, including archery and the trails are accessible for mountain biking.
The site is great for birdwatching, on the trails you can observed dozens of Central American Charas (Cyanocorax melanocyaneus) and parakeets and these woods are habitat for squirrels, one of the few places around Guatemala City were one can still find them in the wild.

Parking fee is Q10 and entrance is just Q10 per person.
