Vista Hermosa Boulevard and The Social Dynamics

It’s both curious and sad how Guatemala City works. How everybody moves through it, and how they react to it. Three hundred thousand people use this main boulevad at zona 15 every day.  It’s caos if you’ll ask me.

Not everyone that makes use of it lives in the area, theres a great deal of people that come here early in the morning in a crappy public trasnsport system, for eight hours of work five days a week (the lucky ones) and they leave by the end of the daylight.

Moving around the city four hours a day to work eight, doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.  Hell, that’s not healthy, it’s insane.

I just read that one of every four guatemalan citizens has some kind of mental disorder.  I wonder why…

Sports in Zona 15

I’m always pleasantly surprised with the kind of people who will get up early in the morning on weekends and play sports.  Softball in this case.  I was expecting very good players, but maybe it was some kind of company tournament, when young people play in regular leagues, could be more exciting.  It’s a nice and different way to spend a Sunday in zona 15, Guatemala City.
