Paradigma Café - at zona 4 por Hugo Muralles

My new favorite place to enjoy and share a cup of coffee in Guatemala City. Located at Via 5 1-75 Zona 4, you’ll find a nice place to chat or do some work if you need to. This all area is now full with new restaurants and sometimes that means more noise or loud music, although that hasn’t been a problem for me.

Claudia Armas @Lux Guatemala por Hugo Muralles

I think that I’ve said this before, there are a few good things about living in the chaos of the City and its surroundings, in terms of art and creativity. Both if you are looking to feed yourself or to feed others, I suppose.

Artistic venues come and go for every taste, this time, CCE Guatemala, hosts a curated series of concerts under the Aves Raras concept.  In the main picture, the Guatemalan singer songwriter, Claudia Armas.  Last night, she offered a magnificent and moving concert.

If you can attend, stay tuned to the calendar in their Facebook Page.

You can follow her on Facebook or Twitter:

La calle donde tu vivias ( The street where you lived)

Many Guatemalans who live in the United States return home during mayor holidays, like Semana Santa or Holy Week. Some are coming back for the first time in decades, others make the effort to come back every year. They bring their children and wives to walk the streets and visit the places they knew as children. One of the first stops is your old house or street. This is a shot of my street in the historic center of Guatemala City. Nothing prepares you for the torrent of emotions that overwhelm you when you recognize your old house.
